Alter Ego is a full-length performance, conceived and executed by the live electronic duo Jasper & Jasper. For Alter Ego, J&J built some new instruments.

In Alter Ego, J&J will share the stage with some virtual characters, which are brought to life through screens and custom LED lighting. This creates a peculiar tension between the duo and the digital characters. This situation offers numerous opportunities but also raises several questions: how do these groups coexist? What forms of interaction are possible? How are these characters relevant? Throughout the show Jasper & Jasper will try to answer these questions. During this process the borders between reality and virtuality gradually become vague.
